A pesar de haber sido un año marcado por la pandemia y de haber dejado al sector del cine muy golpeado, durante el 2020 se estrenaron algunas películas que ahora están nominadas a los premios Oscar.
Para la edición número 93 de la ceremonia, la Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias Cinematográficas presentó las filmaciones que quedaron nominadas a los Premios Oscar 2021.
Entre las favoritas se encuentran Nomadland, Sound of Metal, Mank y Minari. Los ganadores se conocerán el próximo 25 de abril.
